Your silent season
What do you do when it feels like your life is in shambles? That depression you had been feeling turns into anger because it has been built within you. You mistreat just about anyone you encounter because of issues you have - but nothing to do with them. You call up your girlfriends and/or your husband to vent almost every other day. I hear God telling you that this is your silent season.
Different seasons require different fights. You cannot always go into a battle ready for war some battles require silence. The enemy has studied your triggers by how you react. Everything the enemy knows about you is because you told him or he studied how you react to certain situations. For example, when you go to others to vent about your problems, when you should have given them to God. Another example, is when someone cut you off while driving, now you are cussing, angry and just have pure road rage.
I hear God saying be silent. Don’t go talking about your problems because they belong to God. Don’t wake up complaining but wake up worshiping God. Trick the enemy by doing the opposite of how he think you would react. Smile and pretend that nothing is wrong. Now if you have a therapist I’m not telling you not to talk to her but what I am I’m telling you is that those who will not benefit you should not know your issues.
You can talk about the battle once it’s over but God wants you to lean on him for understanding, for peace, for strength, for power. It is the ultimate test of faith. This battle is your silent season. Handle your business silently. But when God brings you out of this season share your testimony. Tell everyone about the goodness of God and what he has brought you through.
This is your silent season!
What you do during this season of your life will determine your outcome. Let’s say God told you to be silent and you did the complete opposite of what God told you to do - you begin to open a door that God never intended for you to open, as a matter of fact God closed that door at a point of time. Now your problems are even worse than it was supposed to be and your facing things you were never suppose to face. God says be still. Be patient! Wait on me and be silent.
What will you do if God tells you to be silent during this season of your life?
